"Leave people better than you found them."
I am so excited to be coaching the Herriman High School Ballroom Team! I started dancing when I was 3 years old. I began with tap and ballet but quickly advanced to competitive clogging. I thought I found my passion. At the age of 10 I was at a competition and saw a group perform in these sparkly silver high heels. I quickly gave up the clogs for those beautiful heels and after two years on a Pre-teen team, I auditioned for the BYU Junior A team. I danced with BYU's Youth program through high school. I have had the privilege to be trained by many dance legends over the years. We won numerous national championships with our formation medleys, as well as individual events. After I graduated, I chose to attend to BYU-Idaho with a ballroom scholarship and performed on their Ballroom Tour Team. (They even convinced me to dust off my clogs and do a clogging number as part of our tour.)
Dance is a part of my soul. I love all forms of dance and find any excuse I can to go watch a performance. Coaching this team is truly my dream job- aside from maybe being an ice cream taste tester...
I've been married to my best friend for 20 years and am a mother to three handsome boys and one extremely fluffy Mini Whoodle puppy. I love to travel. Europe is my favorite! I like to bake and decorate fondant cakes from scratch, I also love rollercoasters, Halloween and Broadway shows. I hate pickles, mustard and mayo- and I used to hate the outdoors, but have found a love and appreciation for this beautiful world over the years, especially after backpacking to Havasupai Falls several years ago. Catching a beautiful sunrise is priceless and life is meant to be an adventure!
